Fall is in the air, and the time has come for families to come together and experience something exciting and unique. The Eerie Express offers just that—a vintage train ride that whisks you through four bridges and the historical Missionary Ridge Tunnel, culminating in a festive Halloween experience that is enjoyable for both young and old!
Start Your Journey on the Vintage Train
The adventure begins as passengers embark on a vintage train, crossing four picturesque bridges and traveling through the atmospheric Missionary Ridge Tunnel. The smell of the old train, the clickety-clack of the wheels on the tracks, and the scenic beauty all around set the tone for a magical experience.
Arrival at the Funhouse Station
Upon arriving at Funhouse Station, riders disembark and enter the Funhouse area. Here, an array of gentle thrills awaits everyone. Enter the 20-room, 2,000 square foot Eerie Fun House, where special lighting, interesting decorations, and surprises are in store. And remember, it’s NOT a haunted house, so there’s no need to worry about unexpected scares!
A Night of Family-Friendly Entertainment
There’s something for everyone at the Eerie Express. Listen to captivating storytelling, take part in indoor blacklight mini golf, and enjoy games that both children and adults will love. Temporary tattoos, coloring pages, and of course, cider add to the festive atmosphere. All children with Halloween Eerie Express tickets can also pick out a mini pumpkin and a goody bag to take home!
Costume Contest and Delicious Dining Options
Children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes and participate in a contest with exciting prizes for the best-dressed boys and girls. The Depot Deli inside Grand Junction Station extends its hours for Eerie Express passengers, offering a tasty supper option until 7:30 p.m. It’s a delightful way to fuel up before or after the ride.
