Halloween Eerie Express (Discontinued – Now Replaced by the Wizard Train)

Passengers of the Halloween Eerie Express once enjoyed a vintage train ride over four bridges and through the historic Missionary Ridge Tunnel, leading to the fun-filled Funhouse Station. Riders disembarked to explore the Eerie Fun House, enjoy games, and collect treats. This spooky, family-friendly adventure offered gentle thrills, blacklight mini golf, storytelling, and much more.

However, we have now discontinued the Halloween Eerie Express. In its place, we are excited to offer the Wizard Train, a magical new experience for families. Don’t miss out on this enchanting adventure!

Our family went on the Eerie Halloween Express trip. Claire P - Fall 2022

Our family went on the Eerie Halloween Express trip. The kids really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly, and very involved with the trip and activities. We loved our conductor, who provided History during our exit from Grand Junction. The story time, and children’s activities were cute, and kept their attention. We really enjoyed it! Would love to do the Polar Express next time!

We took the Halloween Eerie Express Susan C. - Fall 2022

We took the Halloween Eerie Express (Saturday 3:30) with our 2-year-old granddaughter and had a wonderful time! The experience is exciting but not scary for young children. About half of the children (and some parents) showed up in costume. You are fine either way. The train ride to the family fun house is only about 15 minutes, so not too long for little ones. We spent an hour at the fun house where they had a variety of activities that appealed to various ages. They start that part of the experience with a storyteller (ours was very good).
