What is included with Christmas Tea?

Your ticket includes approximately 75 minutes of holiday high tea service with premium teas, savory bites, sweet treats, and freshly baked scones in the upstairs tea room at Grand Junction Depot.

Is a train ride included?

Choose either Tea Service Only or Tea Service + Train Ride when booking. The train option includes a Missionary Ridge Local ride after your scheduled tea seating.

How much time should I allow?

Tea service lasts approximately 75 minutes. Guests adding the train ride should also allow time for check-in and the full train experience shown during booking.

Are reservations required?

Advance reservations are strongly recommended because seating is limited and holiday dates often sell out. Walk-up availability is not guaranteed.

What food and beverages are served?

The rotating menu may include finger sandwiches, savory bites, holiday pastries, sweet treats, freshly baked scones, and premium teas.

Are dietary accommodations available?

Limited vegetarian, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly options may be available with advance notice. Contact TVRM before booking; same-day accommodations cannot be guaranteed.

Are gratuity and alcoholic beverages included?

No. Gratuity and alcoholic beverages are not included. Seasonal champagne cocktails may be available for purchase with valid ID.

Is this a traditional afternoon tea?

Christmas Tea follows the spirit of afternoon tea, with tiered savory and sweet selections and premium teas, in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.

How does this differ from the Homefront Tea Room?

Christmas Tea is a seasonal holiday experience in a festively decorated tea room. The Homefront Tea Room is a separate, non-holiday experience offered at other times of year.

Founded in 1961, the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving, operating, and interpreting historic railroad equipment. Ticket purchases help TVRM maintain vintage locomotives and railcars and share the region’s railroad history with future generations.
