A unique and unforgettable experience that combines a tea on the second floor of Grand Junction Depot with a train ride on the Missionary Ridge Local to follow.
The Homefront Tea Room experience includes a full high tea complete with savory and sweet items, fresh baked scones, and a selection of delectable teas along with a 65-minute train ride.
Book your tickets now and join us for The Homefront Tea Room, A Tea in the Depot Experience. You’ll start your day at 11:00 am with a 75 minute tea seating in the upstairs viewing room of the Grand Junction Depot, located at 4119 Cromwell Road, Chattanooga, TN. The train ride to follow will last roughly 65-minutes, taking you over four bridges, through a pre-civil war era tunnel, tour of our restoration shop and a demonstration of the turntable. Please note: the train ride is only included on select dates shown online.
The total time of this experience is 2 hours and 30 minutes, making it a perfect way to spend a leisurely afternoon with friends, family, or a loved one. Each ticket is priced at $55 per person and includes the full high tea and the train ride.

As a non-profit organization, it takes a lot of resources to restore and maintain our vintage trains and equipment. In fact, it can cost up to $1.5 million to completely rebuild a steam engine, which must be done every 15 years or sooner.
