This weekend, you get to choose between two signature train trips: the #CopperhillSpecial on Saturday and the #HiwasseeLoop on Sunday. Copperhill Special: Depart on an 94-mile round trip through the mesmerizing landscape of East Tennessee. The journey features the rugged Hiwassee River Gorge and the Bald Mountain Loop. You will finally arrive at the historic mining towns of Copperhill, TN, and McCaysville, GA. The spectacular views coupled with the historical significance of these towns make the Copperhill Special a must-experience ride.
Hiwassee Loop: This 50-mile round trip will take you through the stunning lower Hiwassee River gorge. The 5-hour journey culminates at the top of the famous Hiwassee Loop, where the tracks cross over themselves as they spiral up the mountain near Farner, Tennessee. Out of the six such loops in North America, this is the only one located east of the Mississippi River. The entire trip will be spent on the train, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the beauty of the Tennessee landscape.
