  3. Railroad Summer Camp

As the result of directives from the Tennessee Governor and the Centers for Disease Control, TVRM has made the hard decision to cancel the 2020 season of Rail Camp. This has been a very difficult decision – we treasure the Rail Camp season and all attendees and will miss each and every one.

We will begin processing refunds and returning undeposited checks in the next few days. Because we are working remotely, this process may take two to three weeks to complete. We look forward to Rail Camp returning in 2021. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is proud to announce our 2020 summer camps for aspiring railroaders ages 4-17. We offer day camp options for younger campers as well as day and overnight options for campers aged 13-17. Campers will experience the world of railroading through hands-on activities that get them up close to historic steam and diesel locomotives and passenger cars. Our staff involves the campers in as many areas of railroading as possible including operating couplers and air hoses, driving spikes, blacksmithing, photography, modeling, building working steam engines, telegraphs, and electric motors, and, of course, riding trains!
