The first full weekend of September is here, and TVRM’s Founder’s Day Celebration is ready to roll! Whether you’re a longtime railfan or a family looking for a fun weekend, there’s something unforgettable waiting for you at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.

🚂 Steam Locomotive 630 Powers the Missionary Ridge Local

Feel the ground shake and the past come alive behind Steam Star 630, pulling the Missionary Ridge Local all weekend. With multiple departures each day (9:30 AM–3:30 PM), passengers can ride in vintage comfort and witness living railroad heritage.

Great for kids, photographers, and anyone who’s ever wanted to step back into the Golden Age of American Railroading.


🌄 Final Evening Ridge Runner Ride of 2025

Saturday only! As the sun sets, take a ride on the last Evening Ridge Runner of the year. It’s the perfect golden-hour experience with fresh air, open windows, and the click-clack rhythm of twilight rail travel.

📸 Night Photo Shoot — Saturday Exclusive

Rail photographers, don’t miss this: Saturday night’s special Night Photo Shoot gives you rare access to TVRM equipment lit for dramatic rail yard captures.

🏙️ Model Railroaders Layout Open Both Days

Inside the SRHA Building, the Tennessee Valley Model Railroad Club has built a stunning HO-scale world in motion.
