An Authentic, In Context, Envoirnment: Southern Railway Office Car 21 with an original "high hood" Southern Railway locomotive. Is this 1970 or 2025? Only the ditchlights really know.
Office Cars were working offices, and as such were fitted with communcation equipment such as radios, telephones, and eventually OC21 was even fitted with a television for communication and entertainment; as well as office equipment such as type-writters, track charts, and desks.
Welcome aboard the Mid-Century Dining Room of Office Car 21, complete with original furnishings and fixtures.
The Master State Room Aboard OC21: Massive Even by Office Car Standards. This room is larger than even that on the US Presidential Pullman Railcar, FERDINAND MAGELLAN.

A Toast to the Past: Dining Car 3158 Returns to TVRM Rails

Friday night’s dinner train saw the second night of service for former Southern Railway Dining car 3158 after its extensive, five month, body and kitchen rehabilitation. The train was also the shake down cruise for Southern Railway Office Car 21 after a multi-year visit to Soule shops. OC21 still has several items on the punch list to wrap before entering full revenue service on our Georgia trains in a few more weeks. Both cars are resplendent in Southern green and gold as they trundle down the Beltline.
