UNVEILING THE MAGIC OF NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY AT TVRM

Unveiling the Magic of Night Photography at TVRM

Photography is more than just taking pictures—it’s about capturing moments that tell a story. At the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum (TVRM), we invite you to an exclusive night photo session where you can photograph some of the most iconic locomotives in our collection. This event, held at our East Chattanooga location, offers a rare chance to delve into the art of night photography.

Event Overview

Join us on September 7th, 2024 from 9:00 PM to 10:15 PM for a 1 hour and 15 minutes session, where you will have the opportunity to photograph Southern 4501 (dressed as Gulf Mobile & Ohio 4382), Southern 630, Southern 6914, U.S. Army 610, and U.S. Army 8669. These locomotives, steeped in history, will be stationary, allowing you to take stunning long exposure shots that truly capture the essence of their past.

Essential Gear

For this unique session, we recommend using a DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual settings. A sturdy tripod is crucial for achieving sharp long exposure shots, which are key to night photography. Don’t miss this chance to refine your skills and add some extraordinary images to your portfolio.

Participants can park at 2202 N. Chamberlain Avenue in the gravel lot adjacent to N. Chamberlain. The check-in process will begin promptly at 8:30 PM at the designated area. You’ll then have access to the East Chattanooga depot area, where you can prepare and wait between shots.
