Weather: The Summerville Santa Special operates rain or shine. We recommend dressing comfortably and bringing outerwear appropriate for December temperatures in Northwest Georgia.

🎄 How long is the Summerville Santa Special ride?
The total experience lasts approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, including boarding, the train ride itself, and Santa’s visit with each family on board.

All Summerville Santa Special rides depart from the
Summerville Depot, 120 E Washington St, Summerville, GA 30747 (Eastern Time Zone).

⏰ When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before departure to allow time for parking, check-in, and boarding. Trains depart promptly and cannot be held for late arrivals.

👨‍👩‍👧🎟️ How do we make sure our group sits together if we’re paying separately?
To help us seat your group together, please use one of these booking methods:

• ✔ Use the same Primary Name on each booking — this tells our team you’re one group.
• ✔ OR make one booking and request a split-payment link — we’ll send secure links so each person can pay their portion.
• ✔ OR add riders to an existing booking — we can add seats and send a payment link for the remaining balance.

Using one of these methods ensures we can pre-assign group seating — especially on sold-out trains. Separate bookings under different names may result in being seated apart.

🎅 Will Santa be on the train?
Absolutely! Santa boards every train to visit with children, spread Christmas cheer, and pose for photos. Elves accompany him throughout the trip.

🔥 Is the train heated?
Yes. All passenger cars are enclosed and climate-controlled for your comfort.

🚻 Are restrooms available?
Yes — restrooms are available both on board and inside the Summerville Depot before departure.

🍪 Is food or drink provided?
Guests receive complimentary hot chocolate, chocolate milk, and cookies. Additional snacks and beverages may be available at the depot.

👶 Can I bring a stroller or car seat?
For safety reasons, strollers and car seats cannot be used onboard. They may be left in your vehicle or in designated storage near the boarding area.

♿ Is the trip wheelchair accessible?
Historic rail equipment was not designed to safely accommodate wheelchairs. While wheelchairs cannot be brought onboard, guests who can board with assistance and occupy a standard seat are welcome.
