HONORING VETERANS DAY – A TRIBUTE TO HEROES

A Day for Heroes: Honoring Veterans

Salute to Service: Honoring Our Veterans on November 11

As the golden leaves of November pave the streets and the crisp air heralds the coming of winter, the eleventh day of this month holds a special significance that goes beyond the change of seasons. It’s the day we come together as a nation to pause, reflect, and honor the brave men and women who have donned the uniform of our armed forces. Today, on Veterans Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to those who have served this country.

Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice Day, commemorates the end of World War I, when hostilities ceased on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. This day has since been set aside to acknowledge the sacrifices made by our military veterans in wars and peacekeeping missions around the world.

Our veterans are our heroes, our role models, our family. They are our neighbors who took up arms to defend our way of life, our freedoms, and our happiness. They’ve served in the icy mountains of Korea, the jungles of Vietnam, the deserts of the Middle East, and in countless other locales where they were called upon to stand against threats to peace and security.

The courage it takes to serve does not go unnoticed. Their stories are etched into the fabric of our history, and their sacrifices form the backbone of our nation’s legacy of courage and resilience. Today, we listen to their stories, learn from their experiences, and tell them that we are forever indebted to their service.

As we honor our veterans, we also extend our hands in support. It is our duty as fellow citizens to ensure that they return to a community ready to assist them in transitioning to civilian life, to provide the care they deserve, and to continue to show our appreciation for their sacrifices, not just today, but every day.

On this Veterans Day, let’s make a collective commitment to remember and support our veterans. Let’s teach our children the importance of this day, engage in community service, or simply say “thank you” to a veteran. Each act of gratitude, no matter how small, is a ripple that builds a wave of national appreciation.

So to all the veterans out there, we salute you. Your service and sacrifices have not gone unnoticed, and we stand together in offering our thanks. Not just today, but every day.

We are honored to provide complimentary admission exclusively to Veterans at our ticket office. Additionally, our Gold Star Families will receive complimentary family admission, also available solely through our ticket office.
