HONORING MIKE SMITH: TVRM’S GROUNDS GUARDIAN

In Memoriam: Mike Smith – The Heartbeat of TVRM Grounds

The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum (TVRM) stands hand-in-hand with the Smith family in mourning the loss of an invaluable team member, Mike Smith. As the steward of our grounds, Mike’s dedication made our premises a welcoming haven for visitors from all walks of life.

It wasn’t just his meticulous care for our land that set Mike apart, but his zest for every season. Each change brought new decorations and a fresh face to TVRM – a transformation that Mike took on with unmatched enthusiasm.

Above all, Mike’s boundless love for his family was evident to all. His kinship with Wanda, Selena, and Christian was profound and heartfelt. We, at TVRM, feel privileged to have had him as an integral part of our family.

As a symbol of our deep respect and love for Mike, the 4501 will proudly wear black flags in his honor.
