Embarking on a Timeless Journey: The Copperhill Special Train Adventure

As the wheels of history continue to turn, the TVRM Shop Crew, including Nick, Ryan, Mark, and Randy, are diligently preparing for an extraordinary experience aboard the Copperhill Special. This all-day train excursion, commencing its first trip of the year on Saturday, March 24th, offers more than just a scenic ride along the Hiwassee River; it’s a voyage through the rich tapestry of our region’s past.

1. What Makes the Copperhill Special Unique?

Unlike any other train journey, the Copperhill Special weaves through the picturesque landscapes of Hiwassee River, culminating in the joint cities of Copperhill, TN and McCaysville, GA. This 1.5-hour layover offers passengers a chance to explore these historic towns, which hold tales of the bygone era of American rail travel.

2. How Has the Train Been Prepared for the Journey?

Our dedicated crew members have been working tirelessly, focusing on the meticulous task of changing the wheels on Coach 873. This not only ensures a safe and smooth ride but also preserves the authenticity and integrity of this historical mode of transportation.

3. Why Is This Trip More Than Just a Scenic Experience?

While the journey offers stunning views of the Hiwassee River, it’s the connection to our heritage that truly sets this trip apart. Traveling on these historic rails, one can almost hear the echoes of the past, from the whistle of the steam engines to the stories of communities and cultures that flourished along these tracks.
