A Flavorful Start: Kicking Off the 2025 Lunch Train Season at TVRM

The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum was thrilled to offer a new meal service – The Lunch Train! The 2025 season launched with a memorable first ride celebrating Mother’s Day weekend—complete with a three-course meal, warm hospitality, and a railroad stop at one of Chattanooga’s most creative outdoor destinations: Sculpture Fields at Montague Park.

From now through early September, this Saturday tradition offers guests the perfect blend of flavor, relaxation, and artistic exploration.

🥗 All Aboard for Scenic Flavors and Spring Views

The Lunch Train departs from Grand Junction Depot, offering a midday excursion that combines classic rail travel with modern dining. Guests are seated in beautifully restored railcars where they enjoy a chef-prepared, three-course meal while the train glides through Chattanooga’s changing landscapes.

📍 Stopover Highlight:

The journey includes a layover at Sculpture Fields, a 33-acre open-air museum featuring large-scale contemporary sculptures. Guests are invited to stretch their legs, explore the artwork, and take in panoramic views of the city.

🕰️ Duration: Approximately 2 hours 45 minutes

📆 Runs Every Saturday through Early September

Why It’s More Than a Meal

The TVRM Lunch Train is more than dining—it’s about reconnecting with a time when travel was slower, food was part of the journey, and scenic stops added depth to the experience. With a ride that echoes the elegance of mid-20th-century rail dining and views that spotlight Chattanooga’s artistic flair, the Lunch Train is an unforgettable addition to your weekend.

This season’s kickoff on Mother’s Day weekend added an extra layer of meaning—honoring those who nurture us with a ride rooted in care, tradition, and togetherness.
