RAILFEST ATTRACTIONS
The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is home to numerous pieces of restored, historic equipment. But during Railfest we'll be welcoming additional locomotives to our party!
Southern Railway 2-8-0 #630 - Built in 1904 by the American Locomotive Company Richmond Works; restored to operation at TVRM in 2011. Scheduled to pull 21st Century Steam mainline excursions during on Saturday & Sunday, and Missionary Ridge Local trains on Monday. For a history timeline and more photos, click here
Southern Railway FP7 #6133 - Built in 1950 for the CNO&TP (Cincinatti, New Orleans & Texas Pacific - which served Chattanooga.) This operational locomotive is one of the many artifacts housed at the North Carolina Transporation Museum in Spencer, North Carolina. Scheduled to pull Missionary Ridge Local trains on Saturday and Sunday, and the "Georgia Diesel Special" excursion into Northwest Georgia on Monday. See more information about #6133 here.
Lehigh Valley Coal Company 0-6-0 #126 - Built in 1931 by the Vulcan Iron Works in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania; restored to operation in 2011 by the Gramling Locomotive Works in Ashley, Indiana. The visit to TVRM marks only its third public appearance. It will be pulling short "Tunnel Turn" trips throughout the weekend. Tunnel Turn trains operate from Grand Junction towards Missionary Ridge, but don't go through the tunnel...just close to it. See more information about #126 here.
Southern Railway GP30 #2594 - Built by EMD in 1962; donated by Norfolk Southern to the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth, Georgia. This locomotive is leased by TVRM and used frequently to pull Chickamauga Turn and monthly dinner trains. This locomotive will team up with SR #6133 to power the "Georgia Diesel Special" excursion on Monday. More info about #2594 here.

Norfolk Southern "executive" F units; A & B set - F9A #4270 or 4271 built in 1952, and F7B #4275 or 4276 built in 1950. Used to pull Norfolk Southern inspection trains (a.k.a. OCS or Office Car Special); an A & B set will be on display.
Norfolk Southern "Evolution" Locomotive - One of the most modern locomotives available, "EVO" engines combine high horsepower with environmentally-friendly emission standards. You will be able to get up close and personal with this modern marvel.
Norfolk Southern's Commemorative Unit #4610 makes a return visit to Chattanooga. Last seen at TVRM on "National Train Day", this locomotive marks the 100th Anniversary of Southern Railway (in 1994.)

Norfolk Southern "Operation Livesaver" Unit - This locomotive features the Operation Livesaver logo to help create awareness of safety around railroad tracks. You must expect a train on any track, at any time. Use caution! (Drawing by Andy Fletcher --- meet him at Railfest, too!)
Chattooga & Chickamauga Railway (Genesee & Wyoming) #2050 will be making its first public display appearance at Railfest! See more information about the C&C here.
TVRM's ex-NC&StL caboose #41 (built in 1927 for the Florida East Coast Railway) will be included on "Tunnel Turn" trains. NC&StL = Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway. This caboose is rarely used in regular service.
