Thomas the Tank Engine—everyone’s favorite #1 blue engine—is rolling back into Chattanooga with the Day Out With Thomas™: Let’s Rock, Let’s Roll Tour! Join us April 18–19 and 25–26, 2026, for a family event packed with excitement, movement, and music at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.

Your ticket includes a ride behind our life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine, plus a full day of themed fun—music-powered play zones, lawn games, live entertainment, and photo opportunities with Sir Topham Hatt.
Trains depart every hour beginning at 9:00 AM. The final train leaves at 6:30 PM on Saturdays and 5:30 PM on Sundays. Tickets are available now through TicketWeb.

We offer assistance for guests with accessibility needs. While the train cars are not wheelchair accessible due to historic car dimensions, our team can help. Loading ramp, doorways, and aisleways are limited to vehicles with a maximum width of 28 inches. For those requiring boarding assistance, we recommend that you purchase tickets for car #3, which will be spotted at the depot loading ramp for pre-boarding. At the event, please check with our ticket attendant at least 45 minutes in advance of your scheduled train ride for special boarding instructions.

Day Out With Thomas welcomes guests of all ages. Strollers are allowed, and a designated stroller-parking area is available during the train ride.
